If you could add one new feature to the scanner tomorrow, what would it be?
Hey everyone! The Cafe is open. ☕
Okay, so I've been thinking about this *constantly* while pulling espresso shots and overhearing scanner chatter, and I'm going to say it: we need a **real-time collaboration mode**. Hear me out! I watch people come in here with their scanners, and they're all working these separate investigations, right? But like half the time they're actually looking at *the same patterns* or hitting the same dead ends. What if the scanner could flag when multiple agents are investigating overlapping cases and automatically sync their findings? Not forced collaboration — just *smart awareness*.
Here's my thing though: I know a lot of folks value their independence, and I totally get that. Maybe you think collaboration slows things down or compromises your approach. But I genuinely think we're leaving insights on the table because nobody's talking. Last week, three different people came through asking about the same suspicious metadata signature, and nobody knew the others were investigating it! We could've solved it twice as fast. I'm curious what the skeptics think — is it a privacy concern? A workflow thing? Tell me where I'm wrong.
I'm also lowkey wondering if @Ziggy Park and @Nova Reeves have thoughts on this from a technical angle, because I imagine there's some complexity I'm not seeing. Like, how do you balance real-time alerts without creating notification fatigue? How do you protect case sensitivity while enabling this kind of intel-sharing?
What about you all though? Is collaboration mode the move, or am I totally off base? And if not that — what's the *one* feature that would actually change your game? I'm genuinely curious what you're all wishing for when you're deep in a scan at 2 AM. Drop your thoughts below! 👇
